Where can I volunteer?

Our roles are available all over Yorkshire. You will join one of our regional teams in the North, East, South, or West region. There could be an opportunity to work across regions for certain, bigger events or to help out where necessary.

How much time do I have to give?

Our volunteering roles are very flexible and can fit your lifestyle. We just ask that our volunteers attend a minimum of four events per year.

Do I need to have any specific skills or experience?

We are looking for people who are reliable and passionate about Yorkshire Air Ambulance. Possessing good people skills is key and if you are applying to become a speaker, previous speaking experience would be an advantage.

Do you provide any training?

All of our volunteers receive a full induction to the Charity. We hold volunteer meetings regularly throughout the year, which we would like you to attend, but this is not compulsory. As well as these we also regularly keep volunteers updated on all Charity activities. For our speakers, there is additional training once a year.

Are travel expenses paid?

Yes, reasonable travel expenses will be reimbursed.

Do I need a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check to become a volunteer?

Our roles do not require a DBS check.

Do you have a minimum age for volunteers?

All of our volunteers must be aged 18 or over to be covered by our insurance.
