The Yorkshire Air Ambulance needs to raise £12,000 per day to keep both of Yorkshire Air Ambulance's helicopters maintained and in the air. The donations received go directly into the life saving service provided. However, as an independent Charity we rely on the generosity of those who support the service to continue to save lives across Yorkshire.

Make an air ambulance donation and help the Yorkshire Air Ambulance continue to save lives across the
region and make a difference to someone who needs the Charity's help.

All transactions made through our site are processed by SagePay and are fully secure and safe.

Making a donation by text is the quick and easy way to lend your support.

A Gift of Shares

“Leaving a gift of shares to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance is a way in which you could help have a lasting effect on the Charity and the people of Yorkshire.”

Over 12 million people in the UK own shares and the value of those are estimated to be approximately £200 billion.

Giving a gift of shares will help the Charity to save lives and also attracts generous tax relief for the donor too. For donors with investments, a gift of shares is a very effective way of making a donation to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance because their donation will be eligible for income tax relief and exempt from Capital Gains Tax (CGT). Also a gift during your lifetime or in your will would be exempt from inheritance tax. You should consult your accountant on the specific tax implications of any gift.

The Yorkshire Air Ambulance benefits from receiving the gift of shares, which we can then keep or sell in accordance with our fundraising strategy.

To complete a gift of shares to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance, please contact our appointed shares management company, Redmayne-Bentley LLP who will be happy to assist in arranging the transfer of shares. Please contact Tim Whitehead, Investment Manager, Redmayne-Bentley LLP, 9 Bond Court, Leeds, LS1 2JZ. Direct Line: 0113 200 6568.

Gift Aid Declaration

As an independent registered Charity, the Yorkshire Air Ambulance is entitled to HMRC’s Gift Aid scheme.  It basically means that for every £1 donated, we can claim back a further 25p from the government.  So a £1 donation would become £1.25, a £5 donation boosted to £6.25 and a £10 donation increased to £12.50 and so on.  It’s a great way to boost your donation at no extra cost!

Please note we can only claim Gift Aid on personal donations, and not business or corporate donations.

Please download the Declaration below to make your donation eligible for Gift Aid
