Many believe the government funds Yorkshire Air Ambulance and that we fall under the NHS. This is untrue; a vital part of Yorkshire Air Ambulance’s operation depends on the generosity of the public and organisations.
We are integrating a new system for our team to record call-outs. We are now adding incident reports again, recording recent incidents whilst also returning and adding incidents from previous months. This may take some time to update fully, so please bear with us.

At 09:03 AM on Monday, 26th May 2025, our Topcliffe-based crew and operational aircraft G-YAIR were called to a patient complaining of chest pains. They provided support and treatment on scene, before the patient was taken to hospital via land ambulance.

Our Topcliffe-based crew and operational aircraft G-YAIR were called at 12:29 PM on Monday, 26th May 2025, to a child with a suspected fractured femur following a mountain bike accident in Glaisdale. Our crew assisted the child at the scene before flying them and their parent to hospital.

Our crew and operational aircraft G-YAAA, based at Nostell Air Support Unit, were called at 14:21 PM on Monday 26th May 2025 to a stabbing in Huddersfield. The crew provided assistance to two patients on scene and travelled with the patients to hospital via land ambulance.

Our Topcliffe-based crew and aircraft G-YAIR were called at 09:37 AM on Saturday, 24th May 2025, to assist a person who had been kicked in the head by a horse in Holme-on-Spalding-Moor. The crew provided support at the scene before the injured person was taken to hospital via road ambulance.
