Incident round up
Many believe the government funds Yorkshire Air Ambulance and that we fall under the NHS. This is untrue; a vital part of Yorkshire Air Ambulance’s operation depends on the generosity of the public and organisations.
We are integrating a new system for our team to record call-outs. We are now adding incident reports again, recording recent incidents whilst also returning and adding incidents from previous months. This may take some time to update fully, so please bear with us.

Kettlewell
At 6:24 pm on Thursday, 7th August 2025, our Nostell-based crew and aircraft G-YAAA were called to a person in cardiac arrest in Kettlewell in the Yorkshire Dales. They provided support and treatment at the scene before our medical team travelled with the person hospital in the road ambulance, so that they could continue monitoring the person and providing treatment en route.

Our Topcliffe-based crew and aircraft G-YORX were called to Tockwith near York at 1:25 pm on Thursday, 7th August 2025, to reports of a child suffering an allergic reaction. They provided support at the scene before the person was taken to hospital by the road ambulance crew.

At 11:17 pm on Wednesday, 6th August 2025, our Nostell-based crew and operational aircraft G-YAAA were called to an incident near Selby. On approach, our team were advised that they were no longer required; they therefore used the flight to carry out NVIS (Night Vision) training at Sherburn before returning to base.

Our Topcliffe-based crew and aircraft G-YORX were called to assist a patient with a head injury following a road traffic collision in Kirkbymoorside, at 10:03 AM on Monday, 4th August 2025. The crew were collected from the landing site by a DCA and transported to the scene due to poor weather. They provided support at the scene before accompanying the patient to hospital via land ambulance.
