Many believe the government funds Yorkshire Air Ambulance and that we fall under the NHS. This is untrue; a vital part of Yorkshire Air Ambulance’s operation depends on the generosity of the public and organisations.
We are integrating a new system for our team to record call-outs. We are now adding incident reports again, recording recent incidents whilst also returning and adding incidents from previous months. This may take some time to update fully, so please bear with us.

At 09:26 AM on Tuesday, 3rd June 2025, our Nostell-based crew and aircraft G-YAAA were called to a road traffic collision involving a car and a pedestrian in Ackworth, near Wakefield. The crew provided support on scene before travelling with the patient to hospital via land ambulance.

At 12.40 PM on Tuesday, 3rd June 2025, our Topcliffe-based crew and operational aircraft G-YORX were called to Hutton Bonville to assist a patient with a lower leg injury after falling from a horse. They provided support and treatment on scene, before transporting the patient by air to hospital for further treatment.

Whilst at the incident, the team requested assistance from our Nostell- based crew. The crew provided treatment before flying the patient to hospital.
