The Largest hot air balloon festival in the north of England

Yorkshire Balloon Fiesta, formerly York Balloon Fiesta, returns for 2021 with the biggest hot air balloon festival Yorkshire has ever seen. This four-day festival includes a weekend of hot air balloons, children’s entertainment, live music, tribute acts, food and drink, as well as a large funfair. The pinnacle of the festival will be the popular Hot Air Balloon Night Glow, followed by a brand new firework, drone and laser show!

Yorkshire Air Ambulance will be at the event with a stall and, weather permitting, one of our brand new Promotional Vehicles.  If you are attending the festival be sure to come and say hello.

On Sunday 29th August 2021 one of our air ambulance helicopters is also scheduled to visit*.

This years event takes place from Friday 27th to Monday 30th August 2021. Day tickets and weekend tickets are available and a donation from each ticket sale will be made to three charities; Yorkshire Air Ambulance, St Leonards Hospice and York Rescue Boat.

*Our helicopter will remain fully operational during the visit and as such may have to leave the event at short notice should the crew be called to an emergency. This also means that the visit cannot be guaranteed if the aircraft is called to an emergency at the time of the scheduled visit. Aircraft visits are also weather dependant.
