Yorkshire Air Ambulance needs to raise £19,000 per day to keep both of Yorkshire’s air ambulance helicopters maintained and in the air. The donations received go directly into the life-saving service provided. As an independent Charity, we rely on the generosity of those who support the service to continue saving lives across Yorkshire.

Below are just a few of the ways that you can help us continue saving lives across the region and make a big difference to someone who needs our help.

Gift Aid Declaration

As an independent registered Charity, Yorkshire Air Ambulance is entitled to HMRC’s Gift Aid scheme. This means for every £1 donated, we can claim back a further 25p from the government. So a £1 donation would become £1.25, a £5 donation boosted to £6.25 and a £10 donation increased to £12.50, and so on. It’s a great way to boost your donation at no extra cost! Please note we can only claim Gift Aid on personal donations, and not business or corporate donations.

Please complete the online declaration form HERE.
Or download the Declaration form HERE to make your donation eligible for Gift Aid.

Shares

Leaving a gift of shares to Yorkshire Air Ambulance is a way in which you could help have a lasting effect on the Charity and the people of Yorkshire.

Why Donate Shares to Yorkshire Air Ambulance?

Giving a gift of shares will help the Charity save lives and attract generous tax relief for the donor. For donors with investments, a gift of shares is a very effective way of donating to Yorkshire Air Ambulance because their donation will be eligible for income tax relief and exempt from Capital Gains Tax (CGT). Also, a gift during your lifetime or in your Will would be exempt from inheritance tax. You should consult your accountant or tax adviser on the specific tax implications of any gift, as tax treatment depends on the specific circumstances of each individual and may be subject to change in the future.

Yorkshire Air Ambulance benefits from receiving the gift of shares, which we can then keep or sell in accordance with our fundraising strategy.

In order to transfer shares to Yorkshire Air Ambulance, they must be held in a Redmayne Bentley account. If you already have an account with Redmayne Bentley, you can download the transfer form here.

If you don’t already have an account with them, you will need to set one up and transfer your shares into it. You will then be able to transfer your shares to Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

If you would like to talk to us further about gifting shares please contact our Director of Fundraising, Helen Callear at h.callear@yaa.org.uk
