Donations such as yours are truly the life-blood of the Yorkshire Air Ambulance and they can make a real difference to the lives of people across Yorkshire. As an independent charity we are entirely public funded and it costs £12,000 a day to keep both of our helicopters maintained and in the air. We are truly grateful for every donation we receive, no matter how big or how small, or if it’s a one off or a re-occurring donation.

Regular donations can help us plan ahead and give the charity sustainable long term income. As technology and medical techniques advance, they enable us to make us make life saving developments to our charity. Regular donations are easily set up to come out once a month by Direct Debit and can be as little or as much as you choose.

Gift Aid

As an independent registered charity, the Yorkshire Air Ambulance is entitled to HMRC’s Gift Aid scheme. This means that for every £1 donated, we can claim a further 25p from the government. So a donation of £1 would become £1.25, a donation of £5 is boosted to £6.25 and a £10 donation increases to £12.50 and so on. It’s a great way to boost your donation at no extra cost.

Please note that we can only claim Gift Aid on personal donations made by a UK tax payer and not on business or corporate donations.

You will be given the option to opt in to Gift Aid during the donation process.
