Payroll Giving – Employee Guide
Thank you for considering donation to Yorkshire Air Ambulance through your pay. Payroll Giving allows you to give to UK registered charities like Yorkshire Air Ambulance directly from your pay, before tax. It is a reliable and long term source of income for YAA and gives us the opportunity to plan for the future.
How it works
If your employer already offers Payroll Giving as part of your place of work, there may already be a form available internally for your to complete to set your donation amount and chosen charity up.
Initially you will need to choose how much you would like to donate and which charity you would like to support. This is usually done via your employers chosen Payroll Giving Supplier. The form is generally available on their website or you may have an internal process for this also.
Once set up, your chosen donation will be deducted from your gross salary, before income tax is applied. The benefit of this, it is reduces your taxable income and saves you money on tax.
Yorkshire Air Ambulance receives the full donation directly from the chosen Payroll Giving supplier, without needing to reclaim tax.
