Patient Family Support
Experiencing a serious incident or medical emergency can be a life-altering and daunting experience for both the patient and their families.
At Yorkshire Air Ambulance, we understand the profound impact such events can have, and we are here to support you every step of the way.
We care about every patient we have treated over the years, along with their families, and we want you to know that our help & support doesn’t have to stop once you reach the hospital.
Support for Patients and Loved Ones
Whether you seek assistance in understanding the events surrounding your incident, wish to connect with the crew who attended to you or your loved one, or simply want to share your feedback, we’re here for you. Reach out to us at patientcare@yaa.org.uk
When contacting us, please include the patient’s name, the date of the incident, the hospital they attended, and any other relevant information. Our dedicated team will respond to you promptly.
Sharing Your Story
We are conscious that once we have transferred a patient to hospital it can often be a critical and emotional time for them and their family. Respecting patient confidentiality and privacy, we refrain from actively seeking out patients once they’ve been transferred.
This means we often end up not knowing the outcome of our patients and have to rely heavily on patients or their loved ones contacting us when they feel the time is right and appropriate.
Sharing your story with us or giving us feedback is a great way of not only helping us spread awareness of the service we provide, but it also helps build a bigger picture of our Charity work. If you would be happy to share your story with us and our supporters, please contact us at patientcare@yaa.org.uk.
