Many believe the government funds Yorkshire Air Ambulance and that we fall under the NHS. This is untrue; a vital part of Yorkshire Air Ambulance’s operation depends on the generosity of the public and organisations.
We are integrating a new system for our team to record call-outs. We are now adding incident reports again, recording recent incidents whilst also returning and adding incidents from previous months. This may take some time to update fully, so please bear with us.

At 3:32 PM on Friday, 2nd January 2026, our Topcliffe-based crew and operational aircraft G-YAAA were called to assist a person who had broken their leg following a motocross accident in Hutton-Le-Hole. The crew provided support at the scene.

At 9.11 am on Friday, 2nd January 2026, our Nostell-based crew and aircraft G-YAIR were called to a medical emergency in Barlow, Derbyshire. Sadly, the patient passed away at the scene.

Our crew based at our Topcliffe Air Support Unit was dispatched in aircraft G-YAAA to road traffic collision involving a tractor and two pedestrians in Helmsley at 12:45 pm on Wednesday, 31st December 2025. Our crew provided support at the scene before flying one of the patients to hospital in the aircraft.
