Many believe the government funds Yorkshire Air Ambulance and that we fall under the NHS. This is untrue; a vital part of Yorkshire Air Ambulance’s operation depends on the generosity of the public and organisations.
We are integrating a new system for our team to record call-outs. We are now adding incident reports again, recording recent incidents whilst also returning and adding incidents from previous months. This may take some time to update fully, so please bear with us.

Our Topcliffe-based crew and aircraft G-YAAA were called to a road traffic collision involving a motorbike in Wetwang at 1:30 PM on Friday, 26th December 2025. Whilst at the scene they requested the support of our Nostell-based crew. The crews provided support at the scene before flying one person to hospital for further treatment.

The crew provided support at the scene before flying the patient to hospital.
