Many believe the government funds Yorkshire Air Ambulance and that we fall under the NHS. This is untrue; a vital part of Yorkshire Air Ambulance’s operation depends on the generosity of the public and organisations.
We are integrating a new system for our team to record call-outs. We are now adding incident reports again, recording recent incidents whilst also returning and adding incidents from previous months. This may take some time to update fully, so please bear with us.

Our crew based at our Nostell Air Support Unit was dispatched in aircraft G-YORX to assist a person who had fallen from height in Wakefield at 11:56 am on Tuesday, 16th December 2025. Our crew provided support at the scene before accompanying the patient to the hospital by land ambulance.
