Many believe the government funds Yorkshire Air Ambulance and that we fall under the NHS. This is untrue; a vital part of Yorkshire Air Ambulance’s operation depends on the generosity of the public and organisations.
We are integrating a new system for our team to record call-outs. We are now adding incident reports again, recording recent incidents whilst also returning and adding incidents from previous months. This may take some time to update fully, so please bear with us.

Our Topcliffe-based crew and aircraft G-YAAA were called to a road traffic collision involving a motorbike in Halifax at 14:56 PM on Monday, 17th November 2025. They provided support at the scene before flying one person to hospital for further treatment.

At 12:54pm on Tuesday 17 November 2025, our crew at the Nostell Air Support Unit was dispatched in aircraft G-YAIR to assist a person trapped by a concrete machine in Auckley. They requested support from our Topcliffe-based crew, who brought blood to the scene. Our teams provided critical care before airlifting the patient to hospital.
