Many believe the government funds Yorkshire Air Ambulance and that we fall under the NHS. This is untrue; a vital part of Yorkshire Air Ambulance’s operation depends on the generosity of the public and organisations.
We are integrating a new system for our team to record call-outs. We are now adding incident reports again, recording recent incidents whilst also returning and adding incidents from previous months. This may take some time to update fully, so please bear with us.

Upton, Near Wakefield
At 14:30 PM on Thursday, 11th September 2025, our Topcliffe-based crew and aircraft G-YORX were dispatched to a person in cardiac arrest in Upton, near Wakefield. They provided support at the scene before travelling with the patient to hospital via land ambulance. Our pilot and TCM collected the crew from the hospital before refuelling at our Nostell air base and returning to our Topcliffe air base.

At 12:41 PM on Thursday, 11th September 2025, our Topcliffe-based crew and aircraft G-YORX were dispatched to a person who was injured and trapped following an incident involving a crane in Burley in Wharfedale. They provided support at the scene before accompanying the patient to hospital via land ambulance.

At 12:09 PM on Thursday, 11th September 2025, our Nostell-based crew and aircraft G-YAIR were dispatched to Sheffield, where a person was injured after falling from a height. Our crew provided support at the scene before accompanying the patient to hospital in a land ambulance. Our pilot and TCM collected the crew from the hospital and returned to base.

Our Nostell-based crew and aircraft G-YAAA were dispatched at 20:08 PM on Tuesday, 9th September 2025, to a road traffic collision involving multiple cyclists in Hooton Pagnell. They provided treatment at the scene before flying one patient to hospital.

At 14:55 PM on Tuesday, 9th September 2025, our Nostell-based crew and aircraft G-YAAA were dispatched to Cowden, where a person had injured themselves falling from a ladder. They provided support at the scene.

Northallerton
At 12:21 PM on Tuesday, 9th September 2025, our Topcliffe-based crew and aircraft G-YORX were dispatched to a person who was in cardiac arrest in Northallerton. They provided support at the scene before accompanying the patient to hospital via land ambulance. Our pilot and TCM returned to our Topcliffe airbase to re-fuel before collecting the crew from the hospital.

Our Topcliffe-based crew and aircraft G-YORX were called to Pickering in North Yorkshire at 09:53 AM on Tuesday, 9th September 2025, to a person who had fractured their femur after falling from a horse. The provided treatment at the scene before flying the person to hospital.

Our Nostell-based crew and aircraft G-YAAA were dispatched at 08:05 PM on Tuesday, 9th September 2025, to a road traffic collision involving a pedestrian in Harrogate. They provided treatment at the scene before accompanying the patient to hospital via land ambulance. Our pilot and TCM collected the crew from the hospital before returning to the airbase.

At 20:57 pm on Monday, 8th September 2025, our Nostell-based crew and aircraft G-YAAA were called to road traffic collision involving a motorcycle in Barnsley. Sadly, the person they were called to assist passed away at the scene.

At 14:08 PM on Monday, 8th September 2025, our Nostell-based crew and aircraft G-YAAA were dispatched to Rotherham to assist a person who had been stabbed. Our crew provided support at the scene before accompanying the person to hospital by road ambulance. Our crew were collected from the hospital by our pilot and TCM and returned to base.

At 18:14 PM on Sunday, 7th September 2025, our Nostell-based crew and aircraft G-YAAA were dispatched to a medical emergency in Wakefield following a request from members of our crew who had initially attended the incident in our Rapid Response Vehicle (RRV). Our crew provided support at the scene before accompanying the person to hospital by road ambulance. Our crew were collected by the RRV and returned to the base.
