Many believe the government funds Yorkshire Air Ambulance and that we fall under the NHS. This is untrue; a vital part of Yorkshire Air Ambulance’s operation depends on the generosity of the public and organisations.
We are integrating a new system for our team to record call-outs. We are now adding incident reports again, recording recent incidents whilst also returning and adding incidents from previous months. This may take some time to update fully, so please bear with us.

Methley, Near Leeds
Our Nostell-based crew and aircraft G-YORX were dispatched at 17:21 PM on Thursday, 2nd October 2025, to a assist a person who had been injured by a horse in Methley. They provided support at the scene; before flying the patient to hospital.

Our crew from our Nostell Air Support Unit were dispatched in aircraft G-YORX to Pontefract on Thursday, 2nd October 2025 at 12:19 PM, to help a person who had fallen and broken their leg. The crew provided support at the scene before transporting the patient to hospital in the aircraft.

At 20:45 PM on Tuesday, 30th September 2025, our Nostell-based crew and aircraft G-YAIR were called to a person who had been stabbed in Castleford, West Yorkshire. The crew provided support at the scene before accompanying the person to hospital by road ambulance. The crew were collected by our pilot and TCM before being dispatched to a further tasking.

One of our doctors also arrived with the Mountain Rescue Team to support. The person was flown to hospital.
