Incident round up
Many believe the government funds Yorkshire Air Ambulance and that we fall under the NHS. This is untrue; a vital part of Yorkshire Air Ambulance’s operation depends on the generosity of the public and organisations.
We are integrating a new system for our team to record call-outs. We are now adding incident reports again, recording recent incidents whilst also returning and adding incidents from previous months. This may take some time to update fully, so please bear with us.

Sheffield
Our Nostell-based crew and aircraft were despatched at 17:42 on Wednesday 18th September 2024 to a motorcyclist who had fallen, in a forest near Sheffield. After assessing and treating the person on-scene, the YAA crew travelled with them to hospital in the road ambulance.

Our Topcliffe-based aircraft and crew were called at 16:05 on Wednesday 18th September 2024 to Aislaby near Whitby, where a person had been in an accident involving a garden tractor. They provided on-scene support before the person was taken to hospital by road ambulance.

At 12:08 PM on Wednesday 18th September 2024 our crew and aircraft from Nostell were sent to a patient with serious nose injuries following a fall in Oulton, between Wakefield and Leeds, in West Yorkshire. They provided on-scene support before the person was taken to hospital by road ambulance.

Our Nostell crew and aircraft were despatched at 19:47 on Tuesday 17th September 2024 to a person in respiratory arrest in Catterick Garrison, North Yorkshire. The crew treated the person on-scene before they were taken to hospital by road ambulance for further treatment.

At 15:51 on Tuesday 17th September 2024 our Topcliffe aircraft and crew were despatched to Appleton-le-Moors to an injured motorcyclist. The crew provided on-scene support before the motorcyclist was taken to hospital by road ambulance.

Our Nostell-based aircraft and crew were despatched at 19:15 on Monday 16th September 2024 to Honley, West Yorkshire, where a person had fallen from a horse. After assessing and treating the person on-scene, they flew them to hospital for further treatment.

At 17:36 on Monday 16th September 2024, our Nostell-based crew were despatched by aircraft to a person in cardiac arrest in Cudworth near Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Sadly the person passed away.
