Many believe the government funds Yorkshire Air Ambulance and that we fall under the NHS. This is untrue; a vital part of Yorkshire Air Ambulance’s operation depends on the generosity of the public and organisations.
We are integrating a new system for our team to record call-outs. We are now adding incident reports again, recording recent incidents whilst also returning and adding incidents from previous months. This may take some time to update fully, so please bear with us.

Hull
At 7:52 PM on Thursday, 15th May 2025, our Nostell-based crew and aircraft G-YAAA were called to a stabbing in Hull. Whilst en route to the incident, the call was identified as a hoax and our crew were stood down by the attending land ambulance crew.

Our Nostell-based crew and operational aircraft G-YAIR were called at 1:01 PM on Thursday, 15th May 2025, to a person suffering a cardiac arrest near Featherstone, just outside Wakefield in West Yorkshire. Sadly, the person passed away at the scene.

At 1:59 PM on Tuesday, 13th May 2025, our Topcliffe-based crew and operational aircraft G-YAIR were called to Ravenscar in North Yorkshire, where a person was experiencing chest pains. The person was flown to hospital for further assessment and treatment.

Our crew and operational aircraft G-YAAA based at Nostell Air Support Unit were called at 8:19 PM on Monday 12th May 2025 to a person who had fallen and hit their head. The provided treatment at the scene before transporting the patient to hospital, in the aircraft, for further treatment.

At 3:12 PM on Monday 12th May 2025 our Topcliffe-based crew and operational aircraft G-YAIR were called to a road traffic collision involving a motorcycle and a truck, at Dunnington near York. The crew treated one person at the scene, before flying them to hospital for further treatment.

At 19:07 PM on Sunday 11th May 2025, our Nostell-based crew and operational aircraft G-YAAA were called to a patient who had been involved in a collision between a car and a motorbike in Potter Brompton, Near Filey. The crew offered support on-scene before flying the patient to hospital.

Our Topcliffe-based crew and operational aircraft G-YAIR were dispatched at 15:43 PM on Sunday 11th May 2025 to a person who was in cardiac arrest in Full Sutton, near York. Whilst at the incident, the team requested assistance from our Nostell- based crew who landed and helped provide treatment before accompanying the patient to hospital via land ambulance.

One patient suffered a femur / pelvic injury. Our crew treated them on scene before flying the patient to hospital.
