Many believe the government funds Yorkshire Air Ambulance and that we fall under the NHS. This is untrue; a vital part of Yorkshire Air Ambulance’s operation depends on the generosity of the public and organisations.
We are integrating a new system for our team to record call-outs. We are now adding incident reports again, recording recent incidents whilst also returning and adding incidents from previous months. This may take some time to update fully, so please bear with us.

Our Nostell-based crew and operational aircraft G-YAAA were called at 11:16 AM on Thursday, 22nd May 2025, to Norton near Pontefract, to a person experiencing a seizure. They provided support on the scene before the person was taken to hospital by road ambulance.

Our Topcliffe-based crew and aircraft G-YAIR were called at 17:13 PM on Wednesday, 21st May 2025, to a child who was having an asthma attack in Maunby, near Northallerton. They provided support at the scene.

Our Topcliffe-based crew and operational aircraft G-YAIR were dispatched at 10.07 PM on Wednesday 21st May 2025 to a cyclist who had been knocked off their bike in Barnoldswick, near Skipton. Whilst at the incident, the team requested assistance from our Nostell- based crew who landed and helped provide treatment before flying the patient to hospital.
