Many believe the government funds Yorkshire Air Ambulance and that we fall under the NHS. This is untrue; a vital part of Yorkshire Air Ambulance’s operation depends on the generosity of the public and organisations.
We are integrating a new system for our team to record call-outs. We are now adding incident reports again, recording recent incidents whilst also returning and adding incidents from previous months. This may take some time to update fully, so please bear with us.

Our Topcliffe-based crew and aircraft G-YORX were called at 8:33 am on Saturday, 9th August 2025, to a person in cardiac arrest in Ripon. The crew provided support at the scene before the person was taken to hospital by the road ambulance crew.

At 11:03 am on Saturday, 9th August 2025, our Topcliffe-based crew and aircraft G-YORX were called to reports of an aircraft crash near Pocklington. They provided support at the scene for a person who had minor injuries. That person was taken to hospital by the road ambulance crew.

Our Nostell-based crew and aircraft G-YAAA were called at 11:32 am on Saturday, 9th August 2025, to a person who had fallen from a bike near Hebden Bridge. They had suffered injuries to their upper body. They provided treatment at the scene before flying the person to hospital.

At 3:58 pm on Saturday, 9th August 2025, our Nostell-based crew and aircraft G-YAAA were called to a road traffic collision near Askern, Doncaster. They provided assistance and treatment for one person at the scene, before that person was taken to hospital by the road ambulance crew.

Our Topcliffe-based crew and aircraft G-YORX were called at 5:18 pm on Saturday, 9th August 2025, to a person who had fallen at Appleton-le-Moors in the North York Moors. They had suffered an arm injury. The crew assessed the person, who was discharged at the scene.

Bishopdale
At 11:40 am on Friday, 8th August 2025, our Topcliffe-based crew and aircraft G-YORX were called to a road traffic collision involving a cyclist at Bishopdale in the Yorkshire Dales. They provided treatment at the scene before flying the person to hospital. The crew then flew to Pinderfields hospital to collect blood, and on to our Nostell Air Support unit to refuel before returning to Topcliffe.

Our Nostell-based crew and aircraft G-YAAA were called to assist a person who had been involved in an attack in Crofton, near Wakefield, at 1:57 pm on Friday, 8th August 2025. They provided support at the scene, before the person was taken to hospital by road ambulance and our crew returned to Nostell.

They provided support and treatment at the scene before our medical team travelled with the person hospital in the road ambulance, so that they could continue monitoring the person and providing treatment en route.
