Many believe the government funds Yorkshire Air Ambulance and that we fall under the NHS. This is untrue; a vital part of Yorkshire Air Ambulance’s operation depends on the generosity of the public and organisations.
We are integrating a new system for our team to record call-outs. We are now adding incident reports again, recording recent incidents whilst also returning and adding incidents from previous months. This may take some time to update fully, so please bear with us.

Our Nostell-based crew and operational aircraft G-YAIR were called to a road traffic collision involving a lorry, near Haigh at 8:55 AM on Monday, 28th April 2025. The crew provided support and treatment at the scene before the person was taken to hospital by land ambulance.

Our crew, based at Nostell, and operations aircraft G-YAIR were called to Thorne, near Doncaster at 22.16 PM on Monday, 28th April 2025, to a person who had been stabbed. They treated the person at the scene before travelling with them to hospital in a road ambulance. The aircraft and aviation crew then collected the medical crew from the hospital before returning to the airbase.
