Incident round up
Many believe the government funds Yorkshire Air Ambulance and that we fall under the NHS. This is untrue; a vital part of Yorkshire Air Ambulance’s operation depends on the generosity of the public and organisations.
We are integrating a new system for our team to record call-outs. We are now adding incident reports again, recording recent incidents whilst also returning and adding incidents from previous months. This may take some time to update fully, so please bear with us.

Our Topcliffe-based crew and aircraft G-YORX were called to Middleham in North Yorkshire at 12:04 pm on Wednesday, 20th August 2025, to a person who had fallen from a horse. The provided treatment at the scene before flying the person to hospital.

At 10:16 pm on Monday, 18th August 2025, our Nostell-based crew and aircraft G-YAAA were called to a road traffic collision in Ulrome in the East Riding of Yorkshire. They provided treatment at the scene before travelling with the person to hospital by road ambulance.

At 9:26 pm on Monday, 18th August 2025, our Nostell-based crew and aircraft G-YAAA were called to Ossett near Wakefield, to a person who had been involved in an accident involving machinery. They assisted at the scene before the person was taken to hospital by the road ambulance crew.

Whitby
At 10:52 am, whilst attending another incident in Whitby, our team were called to assist a person in cardiac arrest in the area. Our clinician and TCM attended. They provided treatment at the scene before our clinician travelled with the person to hospital, in the road ambulance, to enable ongoing treatment on the journey. Our pilot then picked the crew member up from the hospital before returning to base.

They provided treatment and assistance at the scene before handing the person over to the road ambulance crew, who continued the care of the person and took them to hospital.
