Incident round up
Many believe the government funds Yorkshire Air Ambulance and that we fall under the NHS. This is untrue; a vital part of Yorkshire Air Ambulance’s operation depends on the generosity of the public and organisations.
We are integrating a new system for our team to record call-outs. We are now adding incident reports again, recording recent incidents whilst also returning and adding incidents from previous months. This may take some time to update fully, so please bear with us.

At 14:26 G-YOAA was dispatched to Pickering to a patient suffering a cardiac arrest. Our Critical Care Team treated the male patient on scene before travelling with him to hospital in the road ambulance.

At 13:19 G-YAAC was dispatched to a patient suffering a cardiac arrest near Selby. Sadly, despite the best efforts of those on scene, the male patient passed away.

At 12:15 G-YAAC was dispatched to an elderly female patient, near Selby, who was suffering a cardiac arrest following a stroke. Our Critical Care Team treated the patient on scene and she was then taken to hospital by road ambulance.

At 18:49 G-YAAC were dispatched to a road traffic collision involving a motorcycle, near Driffied. Our Critical Care Team treated the male patient who had sustained a chest injury and he was then taken to hospital by road ambulance.

At 12:39 G-YOAA was dispatched to an accident involving an elderly male cyclist, near Harrogate. Our Critical Care Team assessed the patient, who had sustained a fracture and he was then flown to Harrogate hospital for further treatment.

At 15:06 G-YOAA was dispatched to Peterlee to assist another air ambulance at the scene of a road traffic collision where there were multiple patients. Our Critical Care Team treated a female patient with a fracture and then flew her to Newcastle hospital for further treatment.

At 12:48 G-YOAA was dispatched to a road traffic collision near York. Our Critical Care Team provided assistance on scene, treating and elderly female patient who had sustained a chest injury. The patient was then taken to hospital by road ambulance.

At 10:54 G-YAAC was dispatched to a male patient suffering a cardiac arrest near Wakefield. Despite the best efforts of those on scene, the patient sadly passed away.

At 09:54 G-YAAC were dispatched to a female patient who had sustained a spinal injury following a fall from a horse near York. Our Critical Care Team provided assistance on scene. The patient was then taken by road ambulance to the nearest hospital for further treatment.
