Incident round up
Many believe the government funds Yorkshire Air Ambulance and that we fall under the NHS. This is untrue; a vital part of Yorkshire Air Ambulance’s operation depends on the generosity of the public and organisations.
We are integrating a new system for our team to record call-outs. We are now adding incident reports again, recording recent incidents whilst also returning and adding incidents from previous months. This may take some time to update fully, so please bear with us.

At 09:54 G-YAAC were dispatched to a female patient who had sustained a spinal injury following a fall from a horse near York. Our Critical Care Team provided assistance on scene. The patient was then taken by road ambulance to the nearest hospital for further treatment.

At 12:06 G-YOAA was dispatched to an elderly male patient suffering a cardiac arrest on the Ripon Bypass. Our Critical Care Team treated the patient on scene and then travelled with him to the nearest hospital in the road ambulance.

At 20:18 G-YAAC was dispatched to a male child who had a fractured leg near Bridlington. Our Critical Care Team treated the patient on scene and he was then taken to hospital by road ambulance for further treatment.

At 16:15 G-YAAC was dispatched to assist another air ambulance who had been called to a male patient who had suffered a chest injury following a fall from a swing. Our Critical Care Team provided assistance at the scene and the patient was then take to hospital by road ambulance.

At 11:22 G-YOAA was dispatched to a female patient who had fallen near to a river bank in Craven and suffered a fracture. Our Critical Care Team treated the patient on scene and she was then flown to Airedale hospital for further treatment.

At 10:06 G-YAAC was dispatched to a male patient suffering a cardiac arrest in Barnsley. Despite the best efforts of those on scene, the patient sadly passed away.

At 16:31 G-YAAC was dispatched to a road traffic collision involving a motorbike in Sheffield. Our Critical Care Team treated a male patient who had sustained a head injury. The patient was taken to hospital by road ambulance.
