Incident round up
Many believe the government funds Yorkshire Air Ambulance and that we fall under the NHS. This is untrue; a vital part of Yorkshire Air Ambulance’s operation depends on the generosity of the public and organisations.
We are integrating a new system for our team to record call-outs. We are now adding incident reports again, recording recent incidents whilst also returning and adding incidents from previous months. This may take some time to update fully, so please bear with us.

Ryedale
At 13.20 our Nostell aircraft was dispatched to a patient suffering from a stroke in Ryedale. Our Critical Care Team treated an elderly male and he was flown to hospital for further treatment.

At 08.33 our Nostell aircraft was dispatched to a road traffic collision in Craven. Our Critical Care Team assessed a male patient and he was flown to hospital for further treatment.

At 17.54 our Nostell aircraft was dispatched to a road traffic collision in Leeds. Sadly, despite best efforts of those on scene an elderly patient passed away.

At 14.05 our Topcliffe aircraft was dispatched to an overdose in Thirsk. Our Critical Care Team treated a male patient and he was taken to hospital by road ambulance for further treatment.

At 11.25am our Nostell aircraft was dispatched to a fall in Goole where a patient sustained a head injury. Our Critical Care Team treated an elderly female and travelled with her in the road ambulance to hospital.

At 16.18 our Topcliffe aircraft was dispatched to a sledge incident in Clitheroe. Our Critical Care Team assessed a female patient and she was flown to hospital for further treatment.

At 10.54am our Topcliffe aircraft was dispatched to an elderly patient with a suspected stroke in Selby. Our Critical Care Team provided on scene support and the patient was taken to hospital by road ambulance.
