Many believe the government funds Yorkshire Air Ambulance and that we fall under the NHS. This is untrue; a vital part of Yorkshire Air Ambulance’s operation depends on the generosity of the public and organisations.
We are integrating a new system for our team to record call-outs. We are now adding incident reports again, recording recent incidents whilst also returning and adding incidents from previous months. This may take some time to update fully, so please bear with us.

Our crew from our Nostell: Southern Air Support Unit were tasked, whilst already in flight in aircraft G-YORX at 11:49 am on Sunday, 28th September, to North Grimston, in North Yorkshire, to reports of a road traffic collision involving a motorcyclist. Sadly, the person passed away at the scene.

Our crew from our Nostell: Southern Air Support Unit were dispatched in aircraft G-YAIR to Hathersage on Saturday, 27th September 2025 at 18:27 pm, following a request for assistance from East Midlands Ambulance Service, to help a person who had fallen whilst climbing. The crew provided support at the scene before transporting the patient to hospital in the aircraft.
