Many believe the government funds Yorkshire Air Ambulance and that we fall under the NHS. This is untrue; a vital part of Yorkshire Air Ambulance’s operation depends on the generosity of the public and organisations.
We are integrating a new system for our team to record call-outs. We are now adding incident reports again, recording recent incidents whilst also returning and adding incidents from previous months. This may take some time to update fully, so please bear with us.

At 13:05 PM on Friday, 5th September 2025, our Nostell-based crew and aircraft G-YAIR were dispatched to Halifax to a maternity medical emergency. They provided support at the scene before travelling with the patient to hospital via land ambulance.

Our Topcliffe-based crew and aircraft G-YORX were called to Shipton by Beningbrough in North Yorkshire at 09:51 AM on Saturday, 13th September 2025, to a person who had fractured their femur after falling from a horse. The provided treatment at the scene.

Our Nostell-based crew and aircraft G-YAIR were dispatched at 16:45 PM on Friday, 12th September 2025, to a assist a person who had been struck by a train in Wombwell. They provided support at the scene; however the patient sadly passed away.

At 13.25 PM on Friday, 12th September 2025, our Nostell-based crew and aircraft G-YAIR were called to assist a patient who had been injured following a quad-biking accident. The crew provided support at the scene before accompanying the patient to hospital via land ambulance. Our pilot and TCM returned to our Nostell airbase to refuel before collecting the crew from the hospital.

At 14:30 PM on Thursday, 11th September 2025, our Topcliffe-based crew and aircraft G-YORX were dispatched to a person in cardiac arrest in Upton, near Wakefield. They provided support at the scene before travelling with the patient to hospital via land ambulance. Our pilot and TCM collected the crew from the hospital before refuelling at our Nostell air base and returning to our Topcliffe air base.

They provided support at the scene before accompanying the patient to hospital via land ambulance.
