Many believe the government funds Yorkshire Air Ambulance and that we fall under the NHS. This is untrue; a vital part of Yorkshire Air Ambulance’s operation depends on the generosity of the public and organisations.
We are integrating a new system for our team to record call-outs. We are now adding incident reports again, recording recent incidents whilst also returning and adding incidents from previous months. This may take some time to update fully, so please bear with us.

At 12:11 PM on Wednesday, 6th August 2025, our Topcliffe-based crew and operational aircraft G-YORX were called to assist a person who had broken their leg in Ingleton. They provided support at the scene before flying the patient to hospital.

Our Topcliffe-based crew and aircraft G-YORX were called to assist a patient with a head injury following a road traffic collision in Kirkbymoorside, at 10:03 AM on Monday, 4th August 2025. The crew were collected from the landing site by a DCA and transported to the scene due to poor weather. They provided support at the scene before accompanying the patient to hospital via land ambulance.
