Many believe the government funds Yorkshire Air Ambulance and that we fall under the NHS. This is untrue; a vital part of Yorkshire Air Ambulance’s operation depends on the generosity of the public and organisations.
We are integrating a new system for our team to record call-outs. We are now adding incident reports again, recording recent incidents whilst also returning and adding incidents from previous months. This may take some time to update fully, so please bear with us.

Our crew based at our Nostell Air Support Unit was dispatched on Thursday 20th November 2025, at 09:31 AM in aircraft G-YAIR to Leeds, to a house fire where two people were in cardiac arrest. The crew provided support at the scene before accompanying the patients to hospital via land ambulance.

Our crew provided support at the scene before travelling with the patient to hospital via land ambulance.

They requested support from our Topcliffe-based crew, who brought blood to the scene. Our teams provided critical care before airlifting the patient to hospital.
