On June 21st, 2026, we lost my Aunty Joan — a remarkable woman whose strength, kindness, and unwavering support shaped our family for decades. Her funeral was held on Monday, July 20th, and while we said goodbye, her impact on our lives will never fade. Joan Woolfitt was my mother’s older sister, but she became so much more than that after Mum passed away over twenty years ago. She stepped in with grace, love, and a quiet resilience that held our family together. She was our matriarch, our steady voice, and a source of comfort throughout.
