Pedal for Pounds, sponsored by Made by Cooper, returns for 2022!

The fantastic fundraising bike ride, Pedal for Pounds is back, with Pedal for Pounds 10.5!

Raising money for Yorkshire Air Ambulance, Town Foundation, Kirkwood and Platform 1 men’s mental health charity, the usually annual fundraising event which had to be postponed in 2021 due to the Covid-19 pandemic, will take place on 6th and 7th May 2022, with participants cycling from Huddersfield to Harrogate and back, returning to the John Smith’s Stadium in time for the last Huddersfield Town game of the regular season against Bristol City.

In the ten years that it has previously taken place, Pedal for Pounds has raised over £2 million for local charities.

This year participants will have the choice of two routes on day one (Friday 6th May 2022), a 97 mile option or a more gentle 6 mile route.

The longer route will begin at the John Smith’s Stadium and see cyclists take on a challenging ride via Burnsall, where there will be a food stop, before heading through Kettlewell and Middleham and ending at the overnight accommodation in Harrogate.

The 65-mile option for day one starts the same as above, but cyclists will head straight to Harrogate from Burnsall.

Day two (Saturday 7 May 2022) will be a straight 33-mile route from Harrogate back to the John Smith’s Stadium in time for kick-off!

If you are interested in taking part, please email supporterservices@htafc.com to be added to the event registration list, where full details on hotel, sign-up fee and the route will follow.

Organisers are asking each cyclist to raise a minimum of £250, which will be split between the causes.
