Pedal to the Pad

A yellow and red graphic advertising a charity bike ride.

Join us on Saturday, 3rd October for our inaugural charity cycle ride and take on an unforgettable challenge through some of Yorkshire’s most stunning landscapes – all while helping to keep our helicopters and crews flying.

Choose your challenge:

  • 102-mile route
  • 30-mile route

The Challenge

This is more than just a bike ride – it’s a journey between two life-saving bases.

Take on the full 102-mile route, starting at our new Northern Airbase at Skipton Bridge and finishing at our Southern Airbase at Nostell near Wakefield.

Prefer a shorter challenge? Choose the 30 -mile route, finishing at Norparts in Malton.

Whichever distance you choose, every mile you ride will help save lives across Yorkshire.

Why Your Support Matters

Yorkshire Air Ambulance receives no direct government funding and relies entirely on public donations to keep flying.

Every mile you ride and every pound you raise, helps bring life-saving critical care to people across Yorkshire when every second counts.

Your support could help fund future missions, lifesaving equipment, and the expert crews who respond 365 days a year.

Fundraising That Saves Lives

We ask all riders to commit to raising a minimum of £200

During the sign-up, you will be asked to read and agree to the Pedal to the Pad Fundraising Agreement. A link will be provided as part of the registration process, and you can also view the agreement here.

Every mission we attend is funded by supporters like you. Your fundraising will help keep our helicopters flying and our critical care team responding when they’re needed most.

This isn’t just a ride – it’s a chance to make a real difference.
