Pedal to the Pad

Join us for our inaugural charity cycle on 3rd October and take on an unforgettable challenge through Yorkshire’s most beautiful landscapes – all while helping to keep our helicopters flying.
Choose your distance: 100* or 60* miles
The Challenge
This is more than just a bike ride – it’s a journey between two life-saving bases.
Take on the full 100-mile route*, starting at our new Northern Airbase at Skipton Bridge and finishing at our Nostell Southern Airbase near Wakefield.
Or choose the 60-mile route*, finishing at Selby Auction Market – also the main pit-stop for 100-mile riders.
Whatever distance you choose, you’ll be part of something meaningful from start to finish.
What You’ll Get
Your entry includes everything you need for a safe, supported and rewarding ride:
- GPX file of the route
- Check points with free water from YAA supporter Shepley Springs
- Bike mechanics available at the Selby checkpoint
- A Yorkshire Air Ambulance water bottle to keep you hydrated
- A Yorkshire Air Ambulance cycling jersey to wear with pride
Selby Auction Market are kindly opening their cafe for us, so you and your supporters can get some much-needed snacks to keep you going on the rest of the route.
The Experience
The full route will be revealed soon, but expect a stunning route through North and West Yorkshire, with rolling roads, scenic views, and that unmistakable Yorkshire spirit.
This is a challenge – but it’s one you’ll never forget. And when you cross the finish line, you’ll know you’ve done something incredible.
