Keeping you safe
At Yorkshire Air Ambulance, the safety and security of our supporters is extremely important to us.
Unfortunately, fraudsters sometimes target charity supporters by pretending to represent legitimate organisations. We would therefore like to remind you of a few simple precautions to help protect yourself and ensure any contact you receive is genuinely from Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
How to stay safe
We recommend you always check that:
- You are speaking to a genuine member of the Yorkshire Air Ambulance team if you receive a phone call. We do not undertake unsolicited telephone fundraising and will never call you out of the blue to ask for a donation or request your bank account or card details. If you are unsure, please end the call, wait a few minutes to ensure the caller has disconnected, and contact us directly on 01422 237900 to verify the call (using a different telephone if possible).
- You are using our official charity website, www.yorkshireairambulance.org.uk or www.yaa.org.uk, when making a donation or accessing information about our work.
- Emails claiming to be from Yorkshire Air Ambulance are sent from our official email domain: yaa.org.uk, including updates@email.yaa.org.uk.
- You are interacting with Yorkshire Air Ambulance’s official social media channels on Facebook, Instagram, X and TikTok.
If you’re unsure
If you ever have any doubts about whether a phone call, email, website or social media account is genuinely connected to Yorkshire Air Ambulance, please contact our team before sharing any personal information or taking any action.
Thank you for your continued support. By remaining vigilant, you are helping us protect both our supporters and the vital lifesaving work of Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
