YAA Great North Run 2026 – Fundraising Agreement

Your Fundraising Agreement – Great North Run

The Great North Run is one of the UK’s most iconic running events, and by joining the Yorkshire Air Ambulance (YAA) team, you are accepting a charity place. This comes with a commitment to raise vital funds to help keep our helicopters flying across Yorkshire and saving lives.

Your Commitment to Yorkshire Air Ambulance

You agree to:

  • Pay the standard entry fee of £65, which includes:
  • Your YAA running top
  • Set-up and support for your online fundraising page
  • Raise a minimum of £400 in sponsorship.
If this total is not reached, you will be expected to make up any shortfall within six weeks of the event.

Our Commitment to You

We’re with you every step of the way and will provide:

  • Fundraising advice, materials, and ideas
  • Ongoing support from our fundraising team
  • Updates on how your fundraising helps our helicopters and highly-specialist clinical teams respond to life-threatening emergencies across Yorkshire

We hope you’ll choose to be part of our team and help make a real difference to people across Yorkshire.

Additional Terms and Conditions

If you can no longer take part

Please let us know as soon as possible. We may be able to offer your place to another runner. Registration fees are non-refundable, and any sponsorship already raised will be treated as a donation to Yorkshire Air Ambulance unless a supporter contacts us directly to request a refund.

Securing your place and event registration

Your charity place is only secured once you have completed your registration with the Great North Run organisers. You will be unable to take part unless this registration is completed by their stated deadline. These deadlines are set by the event organisers and cannot be extended under any circumstances.

Independent fundraising activities

If you choose to organise your own fundraising activities (such as a cake sale or pub quiz), these are organised independently by you in aid of Yorkshire Air Ambulance and not by the charity itself. You are responsible for all aspects of these activities, including health and safety and any required permissions. Yorkshire Air Ambulance accepts no responsibility or liability for independently organised events.

If you wish to use our logo, please contact us and we can provide a “Proud to Support” version.

Health, eligibility and liability
By taking part, you confirm that you are fit to run, meet the minimum age requirement set by the event organisers, and are participating at your own risk. You are responsible for your own health and well-being during training and on event day. Yorkshire Air Ambulance accepts no liability for loss or damage of any kind in connection with your participation, except where liability cannot be excluded by law.

If you have any questions about these terms or your fundraising, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with our team.
