
Mount St John Garden Autumn Open Day

The Mount St John Garden Autumn Open Day is a celebration of gardens and food. Join us on Saturday, 4th October, as they open their stunning gardens to the public and help raise vital funds for Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
Overlooking the Vale of York, the Mount St John Estate has stunning 40-mile views to York Minster and beyond, and its beautiful gardens cover over 12 acres.
On Saturday, 4th October, they will open these gardens and visitors will be treated to a delightful array of ornamental trees, shrubs and thousands of perennial plants. You can explore the gardens at your own pace or join a guided tour.
During this open day, events will include:
- Artist demonstration by Anita Bowerman
- Willow weaving with Phil Bradley
- Chef demonstrations using garden produce, with Owen Diaram (Masterchef 2023 Quarter-finalist) and Provenance Inns
- Raffle in aid of Yorkshire Air Ambulance
- Yorkshire Air Ambulance mobile education unit – find out all about the life-saving work of the charity
- MSJ Plant and produce sales
- Garth Cottage Herbs
- RV Rogers Tree and Plant Nursery
- Bramhope Country Sticks
- Garden masterclass
- Log sales
- Flower sales and flower arrangement demonstrations
- Delicious homebase refreshments on sale
Ticket numbers are limited, so book early to avoid disappointment.
£27.50 per person, under 12s are free (ticket required). Children must be accompanied by a ticket-holding adult.
Children should be accompanied at all times as the garden includes ponds, water features and steep drops. No scotters, skates, bicycles or ball games permitted.
Disabled access is limited as the garden is created on multiple levels, with many steep inclines and steps without rails. Please be aware of the uneven terrain and trip hazards throughout the site.
Please note that dogs (other than assistance dogs) are not permitted within the gardens.
