Location: Home-based (covering Hull, Goole & Selby)

Hours: Part-time, 20 hours/week (flexible, with regular weekend work, a minimum of three weekends a month, either a Saturday or Sunday) There may be weeks where additional hours may be available

Contract: 12-month fixed term

Salary: £13.10 per hour

At Yorkshire Air Ambulance (YAA), our helicopters are ready to respond to emergencies across Yorkshire – thanks to the generosity of the public and the dedication of our team. We are looking for a Community Fundraising Assistant to help grow and support our fundraising efforts across our East region, shown as EAST on the map below.

About the Role

This is a hands-on, people-focused role where you’ll represent YAA at local events, shows and fundraising activities throughout Hull, Goole and Selby. You’ll help raise awareness of our vital work, build strong relationships with supporters and volunteers, and ensure our fundraising presence is impactful and professional.

You’ll work closely with the East Region Community team, supporting activities that help us meet fundraising targets and ensuring that every supporter feels valued and inspired.

What You’ll Do

  • Attend and represent YAA at community fundraising events and regional shows.
  • Engage with supporters, donors, and volunteers to build lasting relationships.
  • Ensure our event setups are eye-catching and professional, using branded materials.
  • Handle donations and merchandise with care and responsibility.
  • Help manage regional stock and fundraising materials.
  • Liaise regularly with volunteers and attend planning meetings.

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

  • Experience in sales, customer service, or public-facing roles.
  • A friendly, engaging personality and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a regional team.
  • Comfortable working weekends (minimum three per month, Saturday or Sunday).
  • Full UK driving licence and suitable space to park a Charity vehicle.
  • Residing in or near Hull, Goole, or Selby.

Desirable:

  • Experience in events or project management.
  • Previous experience managing stock or logistics.
