The Cavalier Ravenfield, who have been fundraising for the YAA for three years, have now reached their £21,000 fundraising milestone for the Charity.
For three years running, The Cavalier has ran an annual bed push to raise funds for the YAA and last year, the event still went ahead despite the torrential down pouring of rain on the day. Throughout the year, they also raised money through choir events, raffles and various activities in the pub.
Mick Collins, organiser of The Cavalier annual bed push, said:” I would like to thank anyone that helped and contributed to the event, no matter how large or small.”
He continued: “As a result of people’s generosity, hard work and determind, I am pleased to advise that we have managed to raise a grand total of £8,806.52 for 2019. This now brings the grand total for the last three years to £21,885.52p – what a fantastic amount for a fantastic charity.”
Charlie Pearson, Yorkshire Air Ambulance South Yorkshire Regional Fundraiser, said: “We would like to thank everyone involved in the annual bed push for your support and generosity, especially when the weather wasn’t on our side this year. Mick, Betty and the team are a delight to work with. The passion and enthusiasm from everyone at the pub for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance is fantastic.
The money raised will help tremedously towards the vital funding of our service and help us continue saving lives across the region.”
