The Busy Life of Key Relationships!

The Busy Life of Key Relationships!

It’s been a very busy week or two in Key Relationships.  The start of November saw us launch the Pedal for Pounds 3 bike ride from Yeovil to Huddersfield, the ride is part of our partnership with Huddersfield Town Football Club.  Last year 168 supporters (including myself) cycled to Brighton helping the ‘Keep It Up’ Campaign to raise over £250,000 for YAA and the Clubs Academy.  P4P3 will take place between Wednesday 2nd and Saturday 5th May 2012 (I must be mad to do it again but my name was first on the list of entrants!!! Sealed).  We are hoping it will be even bigger and better than last year, pushing the funds raised to over half a million pounds.  If you are interested in taking part or would like further information on the ride please get in touch with me!

The countdown to Christmas officially started for me on Wednesday when myself and Robyn from HTAFC went along to Wakefield Cathedral to make the final arrangements with Cannon Michael Rawson for our Christmas Celebration being held on Monday 12th December.  It is a fantastic way to start your Christmas celebrations with an evening of carols, performances from several local school choirs as well as the Crofton Silver Band and refreshments served after the service…. tickets are available now to purchase at the price of £4 (adults), £3 (seniors), £2 (juniors), if you are interested in joining us for our Christmas celebration please get in touch with me Smile

No two days are ever the same in my job and on Saturday I made my BBC Radio Leeds debut when interviewed prior to HTAFC’s game on Saturday about the bike ride… I have to say I try and get out of radio interviews wherever possible but my fellow Brighton Cyclist and presenter of Saturday's radio programme Paul Ogden wasn’t taking no for an answer…. I actually haven’t listened back to it yet myself but I got lots of text messages from friends and YAA supporters that did hear me!!

I couldn’t finish my blog for the last week without saying a massive thank you to ‘The Pink Link’ for the donation of £3,500 they very kindly presented me with on Monday.  The donation came from the £26,000 they raised at the Pink October 12 hour marathon fundraising dinner. ‘The Pink Link’ are big supporters of the YAA and along with 6 other local charities we have benefited again from their fundraising efforts… thank you and we look forward to the next Pink October in 2013!!!
