On Friday 8th March, Belinda Alexander a dedicated team of lovely helpers, organised a wonderful pre-loved clothing sale in Leyburn Methodist Church.
They charged £1 entry which included tea/coffee and delicious cake. They then had a gorgeous selection of fantastic quality clothes, many with high end designer labels. There was a great buzz in the room and guests really enjoyed browsing the hall, catching up with friends over a drink, and of course, knowing they were helping to support the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
The event raised £497.55 for the YAA which we are extremely grateful for. Local community groups like this, generously giving up their time to host a fundraising event really is the lifeblood of the charity. It makes it possible for us to raise the £12,000 we need each day to keep our two yellow helicopters flying and saving lives across Yorkshire.
A big thank you from Olivia Mulligan (Community Fundraiser) and Alan Broadfoot (YAA volunteer) who also helped on the day. “The ladies were super and their energy was infectious. Thank you for putting on such a great event and kindly supporting the YAA. Also…whoever made that banana cake, I need the recipe!!” (Olivia)
