A memorial football match that took place on Boxing day 2019 has raised over £5,000 to be shared between the YAA and the Children’s Air Ambulance.
More than 300 people turned up for the event in memory of Lee Pearsall, a local plasterer who fell from his bedroom window on Christmas morning 2014. Lee was a much loved and respected individual in the community.
Katie Tomlinson, South Yorkshire Community Fundrasier for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance, said: “We would like to thank all the organisers and those who attended Lee’s memorial match. We are incredibly thankful for your ongoing support and the money raised will help tremedously towards the vital funding of our service.”
