Sylvia Grice’s tea party at Kangel Cross, which is an annual event in Littlethorpe, has raised an incredible £1,061.70 for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
The event attended by friends, neighbours and the Ripon Lions featured tea and cake, an array of sandwiches, bric-a-brac stalls and a raffle, all to raise funds for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance and St Michael’s Hospice.
Sylvia Grice, said: “I would like to thank the friends who created the artisan mart Elieen and Sheila Bric-a-Brac, Carol & Karen Cakes, Kath and Anna books, Judith & Tom Pressed Flower Cards, Helen Christmas items, Liz & Richard Plants, Sheila & Maureen Tombol and Magaret Potter from the YAA.”
She continued: “I would also like to thank everyone behind the scenes who prepared sandwiches, ran messages, kept the stall holders bolstered with tea and cake, sold tickets and provided the prizes.”
Olivia Mulligan, North Yorkshire Community Fundraiser for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance, said:” We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who contributed to Sylvia Grace’s tea party and to Sylvia for being a great host. The £1,061.70 raised by the tea party will help considerably towards the vital running costs of the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.”
