Ambulance Desk at Harrogate Hospital raises over £20k for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance

On 24th April, Community Fundraiser, Olivia Mulligan and YAA volunteer Mike Bevington visited Harrogate Hospital to present the Ambulance Desk with a certificate and say a special thank you to them.

Raising such a huge, life saving figure is extremely admirable and we would like to express our sincere thanks for their loyal support. YAA volunteer (Mike) delivers Paul and Ben (Harrogate Hospital) various YAA merchandise for them to sell on the Ambulance Desk, in order to fundraise. In addition this week, they are doing an Easter themed raffle, all in aid of the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

Mike and his wife Cathy, who have now been visiting Paul for years say, “He has raised this purely from a very small display area on his counter. He has a great following from staff and patients. We always have a good laugh! His sense of humour if incredible.”

Yorkshire Air Ambulance is an independent charity, needing to raise £12,000 each day. It is thanks to the generosity of local fundraising that we can keep our two yellow helicopters maintained, flying and saving lives across Yorkshire.
