Huddersfield
Yorkshire Air Ambulance staff member, Nicky de Whytell went that extra mile for the charity last weekend when she and partner Mike Massen took part in the Huddersfield Examiner Charity Challenge, Nordic Walk.
The charity challenge involved a series of different challenges including the Nordic Walk, horse walk, running and pushchair and wheelchair walk. The Yorkshire Air Ambulance were one of the charities to benefit from the event.
The West Yorkshire Development Officer commented: “The charity needs £7,200 a day to keep both its helicopters and crews flying and saving lives across the region.
“This is the first sponsored event I’ve done since joining the Yorkshire Air Ambulance two years ago and I’m looking forward to a fun experience.
“I went to the charity challenge last year as a spectator and really enjoyed the community atmosphere, so I wanted to take part this year.”
