The Yorkshire Air Ambulance have confirmed their intentions to secure the purchase of a second new helicopter to complement the state-of-the-art new Airbus H145 model which will be in operation later this year – giving the YAA the resilience it needs to deliver high quality emergency care to the people of Yorkshire.

The Yorkshire Air Ambulance Chairman, Peter Sunderland DL, has been named in the Queen’s New Year Honours list, and will receive an MBE at a ceremony at Buckingham Palace later in the year. His MBE is being awarded for ‘Voluntary service to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance and the community in West Yorkshire’
