Thank you for your interest in Volunteering for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance!

Why do we need Volunteers?

Volunteers provide much needed additional support to the charity by promoting closer working relationships within our local communities, increasing fundraising opportunities, developing new initiatives and also providing valuable skills and experience. Volunteers are an integral part of the team, without help of people such as you we could not raise the much needed funds to keep this vital service flying.

The volunteering roles that are available are very flexible and volunteers can help us on a regular or occasional basis to suit your availability.

Roles Available

  • Events Volunteer: No minimum requirement or commitment – Help out at ad hoc events as and when you like!
  • Registered Roles: Minimum requirement 4 opportunities per year.
  • Community Event Fundraisers
  • Public Speakers
  • Cheque Presentation Speakers
  • Supermarket Collectors/Bag Packing
  • Collection Tins

Roles Available

Events Volunteer:

  • No minimum requirement needed – you will always be with one of our registered volunteers or staff.
  • To help raise funds and awareness for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance
  • Helping out at summer events/gala’s
  • Events out and about in the community
  • Events at Supermarkets, Retail Centres and many more!
  • Bucket Collections

Registered Volunteer:

Community Event Fundraiser

  • To help raise funds and awareness for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance
  • Attending community events as a representative of the YAA
  • To take YAA stock/merchandise, and stall equipment if able
  • To attend helicopter visits and assist with the helicopter landing and crowd control.
  • To feedback to YAA staff after the event
  • To promote the charity at any chance
  • To deal with money and bank complete with relevant paperwork
