“Like many people, I first became aware of the charitable status of the UK Air Ambulance services when they had a significant impact on my own life.

A number of years ago my best friend was picked up by the Air Ambulance in Cornwall after he was involved in a motor cycle accident. At his funeral, a collection was held for the Air Ambulance and his parents asked if I would ensure the money got to the charity.

After meeting the people involved, I decided that I would like to get involved in helping this vital service keep going and so approached Yorkshire Air Ambulance offering to help in any way I could...

....In my career I spend a lot of time in different parts of the world, dealing with issues that at the end of the day don’t really matter that much. But, by volunteering for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance I know that for that small amount of time I am making a difference. ”
