The Cavalier pub in Rotherham have chosen Yorkshire Air Ambulace as their charity of the year. Throughout the year they have various activities planned. They have already completed a sponsored walk and on the 22nd July held a charity bed push and family fun day.
A group of supporters gathered just before 11am to start the bed push around the town. They were waved off by charity staff, incuding myself and local press and the current Mayoress!
The family fun day started at lunch time with a BBQ, ice cream van, fire engine and many stalls from local community groups, including one from Yorkshire Air Ambulace.
After a cloudy morning the sun shone bright and everyone had a great time. The money raised will be added to the rest of the fundraising which is on going throughout the year to create an over all total, fingers crossed they meet their target!
