Colleagues from the Care Navigation team along with Sensory and Health Trainers held the fundraising day on April 12 at Civic Centre 1, Huddersfield with a bake sale, raffle and Easter bonnet fashion show.
The fundraising event was held in memory of a promising young rugby player Ronan Costello who died following a tragic accident during a Huddersfield Giants Academy under 19's game in June 2016.
People from other teams across the council supported the event by donating prizes, baking cakes and cooking food, and spent money on the day buying food and raffle tickets.
Sharon Costello from the Care Navigation team said “The event was fabulous, a real team effort with lots of different people across the council coming together to help us raise such an impressive amount of money to remember my nephew Ronan who was a fantastic young man. Thanks to everyone who supported the event.”
A fantastic amount has been raised for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance and we are very grateful for your support.
